Beau Coup author Crystal Miles Gauthier just debuted her first book Trioanne!
Blurb
HE SAID ALL THE RIGHT THINGS
Troianne Shelden is a high school student with a bright future. She’s smart, shapely and a catch for any guy. But after a night of passion with a handsome stranger, everything changes. Her future is in doubt when she finds herself pregnant.
THEN LEFT HER ALONE
When her grandmother passes away, and with her parents long dead, Troianne suddenly finds herself with a large inheritance, but absolutely no one she can trust to turn to for help.
Fate takes a hand when she goes into labor. Blinded by pain, she passes out in the back of an ambulance – and wakes up somewhere very different.
She opens her eyes to find herself not in a modern ambulance, but in the back of a horse-drawn carriage. When the door opens she’s greeted by a handsome man dressed like he stepped out of the past. In shock, Troianne realizes that she’s somehow traveled back in time.
And she has no idea how to return home…
Interview
V: Hi, Crystal! Thank you for taking the time to interview with me! I’m sure you’re super excited about your first release! How about we get started with getting to know a little bit about you?
C: Hello Victoria thank you for the chance to let everyone know about me and my work. I am a housewife. All my children are grown. I live with my husband Joe and have two cats: Diesel and Turbo.
V: Sweet! How does it feel
to officially have something published? How did you react when you saw that
your very first book was live?
C: It was midnight and I
screamed. Woke up the hubby and hugged him. It was also our 11th wedding
anniversary so it was really special.
V: What encouraged you to want to publish a book?
Who inspires you to write?
C: Melanie Corona Author gets all the credit. I read
her book on Wattpad and said, “I can do that.” The rest is now written history.
V: Your book, Troianne, is historical romance/time
travel. What made you decide to write this type of story? What inspired it?
C: My
mother always had romance novels lining bookshelves of our home when I was
young. I started out reading them at an early age. I knew I could write one if
I put my mind to it.
V: What do you want the readers to know about your
book? What do you want them to know that will excite them and make them want to
read it?
C: It is a Time Travel Historical Romance action packed with twists and
turns but flows really well. It is a clean romance with just a few swear words.
V: Tell us about your characters. What muses did
you use to create them?
C: My main character Troianne is a person who reflects my
dreams. She is a person I admire. Duncan is my dream man, a lot like my
husband. In 1997 I wrote a small novella about them but never published it. Now
it is in a novel all its own.
V: While writing Troianne, did you have a list of
songs that you listened to?
C: Just one song. Lightening Crashes by Live, over and
over again. I also referred to Indigoddadavid by Iron Butterfly too.
V: When writing, what do you just HAVE to have near
you?
C: My cellphone, nose spray (I got allergies), a drink, red strawberry
sizzlers and the tv on.
V: What do you enjoy reading in your spare time? Do
you have any favorite authors?
C: Romance of any kind. Melanie Corona, Scarlett
Jade, Sable Hunter and many more.
V: What are your plans for the Time Travel Society
series? How many books will there be?
C: There will be 5 in the series. Troianne,
Diana’s Magic, Rheanon’s Heart, Athena’s Warrior and Camberleigh’s Castle.
V: Do you have any release dates planned for future
books?
C: Not currently, hopefully October for Diana’s Magic.
V: Where can people find you on social media?
